Block Club Parties

1. Allow anywhere from 2 to 3 months to plan the event. Prepare a mid winter questionnaire to determine a date and volunteer participation.

2. Choose a chairperson for your event and create a planning committee. These will be the people in charge of food, activities, clean up, party supply rentals and decorations.

3. Assign a person to handle permits, local requirements, etc. This information can be obtained by contacting your township office or public works department.

4. Announcements and assignments should be sent out and any rental arrangements should be made at least a month before the event is held.

5.Health and safety is your #1 priority. When grilling, preparing or serving food be sure to have the proper equipment to keep all foods at required temperatures. Contact your local health agencies regarding sanitary food handling practices.

6. When making rental arrangements do not forget any barricades needed to block streets, tables and chairs, tents, buffet equipment, BBQ grills, concession equipment and portable washrooms with hand washing facilities.

7.Invite your local police, fire and public works department to visit and give safety demonstrations and tours of their vehicles.
With a rented video projector you can turn a garage door into a movie screen. This will help to keep the kids in one spot after dark and it’s a great way the show movies or videos from previous block parties.

8. Organize contests and group activities e.g. water balloons, egg toss, sack races, tug-a-war, volleyball, etc. Make sure adult supervision is available to monitor kids activities such as fun jump, dunk tank and water games.

9. And remember, a pet parade is a great way to meet all your neighbors. Please be conscious of alcohol consumption during your event and take any precautions to ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable time.

Why you should rent an Inflatable for your next party

Inflatable bounce houses (also known as moonwalks) make a great addition to a children’s birthday part, a picnic, a fund raiser, or any other event where people want to have fun.

As a provider of inflatable moonwalks in the Chicagoland Area we truly enjoy bringing the fund and excitement of a bounce house to such events.
What makes the bounce house such a great choice for party rentals? Here are some of the reasons:

1. Safe. Inflatable bounce houses are very safe for children. After all, they’re mostly made up of air and rubber, with no hard edges or other hazards. We know your child’s safety is paramount, that’s why we inspect our equipment regularly and only offer the safest bounce houses that money can buy!
2. Fun. Many parents who rent an inflatable bounce house ask the question, “Can adults get in there too?” They ask the question because they’ve seen how much fun kids have with the inflatable bounce houses. The bottom line is, kids love bounce houses. In all our time providing bounce house rentals in the Chicagoland Area, we have never seen a child yawn and walk away from a fully inflated bounce house!
3. Easy. We bring the bounce house. We inflate it. We deflate it when the party’s over it, and we take it away. Your job is to have fun and enjoy watching your children having fun.
These are just a few of the things that make inflatable bounce houses ideal for any event where children will be gathered. If you have questions about our bounce houses / moonwalks, inflatable slides, or concession rentals (sno cone and popcorn machines), then please don’t hesitate to contact us.
